CompX Precision Slides utilizes the latest technology in the design and manufacture our precision ball bearing slide products.

Our metal stamping and roll forming expertise is at the core of our process and allows us to manufacture related components to projects such as brackets and other attachment accessories. In- house painting and electroplating lines ensure high quality and consistent finish from batch to batch.

With over 40 years experience designing and manufacturing ball bearing drawers slides and over 50 International patents, CompX is at the forefront of this manufacturing category. Our engineering department, consisting of design and manufacturing engineers, supplements by material specific metallurgical and plastics engineers uses the latest tools such as Pro-Engineer Wildfire. When linked by PDM Link all three of our manufacturing facilities can simultaneously review drawing in our cross functional design teams.

When developing a new product, time to market is a key indicator of success. CompX Precision Slides has in-house rapid prototyping capabilities including laser cutting and CNC brake presses. When coupled with plastics prototyping that uses SLA / SLS, production quality samples can be delivered in a short time frame.

CompX maintains onsite testing capability to support the wide range of industries that we complete in. The baseline of tests that we perform is derived from industry accepted standards such as ANSI, BIFMA and UL.

Testing capabilities include: Cycle testing, front and side pull testing, UL testing (pull force), out stop testing, accelerated load life testing, humidity chamber tests and corrosion resistance (slat spray) testing.

Quality is a hallmark of the CompX Precision Slides. We are ISO 9001 2001 registered and have been ISO 9001 since 1996.

CompX subscribes to the Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) Process and used this system to meet PPM’s of < 400 pieces.

With three manufacturing facilities around the world, CompX is able to service all types of customers, from high-volume, capital intensive designs to lower volume custom applications.
